ASG founder & MD, Diarmuid O’Riordan, commented after the event: “It was fantastic to meet so many like minded people with a shared passion for the aviation industry. We all engaged with each other and had some great conversations and exchanges. We shared our own views on everything from future flight training options, airline recruitment, and the likely future trajectory of the industry. These past 18 months have been so challenging for anyone involved in the aviation industry and it was just great to finally be able to hold an in-person event. For me, personally, it was particularly nice to be able to meet, for the very first time, those many new ASG students who have put their faith in us for their ATPL theory training throughout the pandemic. Another major highlight was being able to see one of our former ASG students, John Murtagh, coach a current ASG student (Gary Freeman) on how to land the Boeing 737! Given the success of the recent event, and the fact that we could not facilitate everyone’s attendance due to the limited numbers, we certainly intend on holding many more events like this in the future”.
Note: In order to ensure a safe event for all, attendee numbers were limited and proof of COVID-19 vaccination was a requirement for all.
