In partnership with an International customer, we are delighted to have launched of a one (1) day workshop and training day aimed at facilitating the education of aviation managers with regards to Fatigue Risk management and the EASA Flight Time Limitations (FTL).

The course content includes: an overview of subpart FTL, EU OPS Subpart Q, and AMC/GM and CS.FTL.1; Operator responsibilities; Crew member responsibilities; Fatigue Risk Management Systems; Flight Times and Duty Periods; Split, Standby, and Reserve duties; Rest Periods; Practical exercies; and records that shall be maintained.

The Bray Air Display Show is Ireland’s largest free air show which took to the skies above the East Coast of the country over the weekend of July 23rd and 24th 2016.

This family-friendly event attracted a record-breaking 100,000 spectators and the ASG team was delighted to be on hand to provide air ground communication and co-ordination services, in conjunction with the Irish Aviation Authority, to ensure that the airshow was conducted both safely and efficiently.

​The highly successful event featured 27 jets, 46 aircraft and pilots and 50 support crew. The full line-up of world-class aerobatic display teams included the Red Arrows; Italy’s flamboyant Frecce Tricolori; the dare-devil Breitling Wingwalkers and the Irish Air Corps to name but a few of this year's fantastic acts.

​ASG were delighted to team up with our training partners, Simtech Aviation, to successfully design and deliver flight operations and dispatch training to personnel from the airline industry. 

The aim of the training course was to provide in-depth theoretical knowledge in subjects relevant to the role of the flight operations and dispatch personnel. The course itself was designed to provide induction knowledge to new students who have no practical flight operations experience and also to consolidate, revise, and complement the knowledge of experienced personnel as part of a periodic re-currency training programme. 

Student feedback was excellent and included the following:

The training programme,  which was conducted over a ten day period and consisted of 90 hours of classroom learning, was designed to meet the requirements prescribed by ICAO DOC 7152 and IOSA Standards Manual relevant to the training and continued professional development of flight operations and dispatch personnel.

​We're delighted to announce that we have formalised a training partnership with PadPilot (UK). ASG will be using PadPilot's innovative learning management system and theoretical knowledge material in support of our theoretical knowledge training.

The ASG team was delighted to be invited to speak to over 200 delegates as part of the training and education panel of the first Irish Aviation Students Association (IASA) which took place in Dublin.
This excellent event offered the chance for students to learn more about the specific requirements of trainers, educators, and companies for candidates in various roles and discuss current issues faced by the aviation industry as well as future trends.

We are pleased to announce that we will be conducting Flight Operations and Dispatch training in conjunction with Simtech Aviation in November and December 2015.
