ASG welcomes new future airline pilots!

We're delighted to welcome five new student Airline Pilots to our school. ASG's founder, Diarmuid O'Riordan, "met" the students virtually to welcome them on-board!

With our “game changing”
hybrid classroom, ASG students can now elect to attend our live classes online without ever having to leave their home! The concept is simple: our "live" ATPL revision classes are conducted on location in Dublin, Ireland. Some students are "in-class" and others will be attending by logging in. In order to ensure a fantastic classroom experience for those attending remotely, we have invested in 4K webcams, a dedicated instructor login station, and a classroom facing flat-screen display where the faces of those attending remotely will even be displayed to the students who are attending physically - so everyone feels part of our "hybrid" classroom environment!

Aside from affording the possibility of reducing associated travel/accommodation costs for students worldwide, with the current global pandemic it also permits students to attend who, due to current travel restrictions, might not be able to travel to attend classes. They can choose to sit their exams with any EASA Authority.

ASG can offer a Brexit “deal” (a 20% discount to just £1995) to UK-based students who book their EASA ATPL theory place with us before 31st December 2020.

Despite all of the uncertainty, there is still a deal to be done and UK students can complete their ATPL theory with ASG without having to worry about the future validity of their training for achieving their EASA licence! This is a one-time offer for UK-based students affected by Brexit only and is limited to just 25 students.

With our “game changing” hybrid classroom, UK-based students can now even elect to attend our live classes online without ever having to leave their home! The concept is simple: our "live" ATPL revision classes are conducted on location in Dublin, Ireland. Some students are "in-class" and others will be attending by logging in. Aside from affording the possibility of reducing associated travel/accommodation costs for students worldwide, with the current global pandemic it also permits students to attend who, due to current travel restrictions, might not be able to travel to attend classes. They can choose to sit their exams with any EASA Authority (for example, AustroControl or the IAA).

To read more about our ATPL theory course, click here. To avail of the Brexit deal and secure your place: like, share and tag someone on this post on one of our social media channels and e-mail us today on atpl@asg.ie. Course enrollment must be for one of our 2021 ATPL courses and is limited to 25 students.

Today we were being joined by new customers from all over the world for the ASG “hybrid” ATPL theory course. Students chose to "login" from the USA, the UK, Argentina, and Switzerland while we were also joined by students who decided to physically “sit in” for our classes!

ASG now offers an innovative new "hybrid" classroom concept in order to provide you with the ultimate flexibility when choosing how you would like to attend their ATPL revision classes with us. You can now choose to sit-in or log-in for your classes. You can even alternate from day to day, by logging in on one day or physically attending the class on the next.

The concept is simple: our "live" ATPL revision classes will continue to be conducted on location in Dublin, Ireland. Some students may be "in-class" and others will be attending by logging in. In order to ensure a fantastic classroom experience for those attending remotely, we have invested in 4K webcams, a dedicated instructor login station, and a classroom facing flat-screen display where the faces of those attending remotely will even be displayed to the students who are attending physically - so everyone will feel part of our new "hybrid" classroom environment!

Aside from affording the possibility of reducing associated travel/accommodation costs, with the current global pandemic it will also permit students to attend who, due to current travel restrictions, may not be able to travel to us. It even allows our current students to decide to "drop in" for a subject revision if they have already completed the respective model (subject to classroom capacity).

At ASG, the vast majority of our students are studying with us on a part-time basis. In order to assist them in planning their work and personal lives around their ATPL studies, we have published our ATPL revision dates up until the end of 2021. You can view the schedule for all of our upcoming ATPL classes here. Indeed, now more than ever, students need certainty in order to plan ahead and discuss with their workplace.

To add even more flexibility for ASG customers, we provide an innovative new "hybrid" classroom concept in order to provide our customers with the ultimate flexibility when choosing how you would like to attend their ATPL revision classes with us. Students can now choose to sit-in or log-in for their classes. They can even alternate from day to day, by logging in on one day or physically attending the class on the next.

ASG launches the "hybrid" classroom concept

In the past few weeks, ASG has launched its new "hybrid" classroom concept in order to provide our students with the ultimate flexibility when choosing how they would like to attend their ATPL revision classes with us. Students can now choose to sit-in or log-in for their classes. They can even alternate from day to day, by logging in on one day or physically attending the class on the next.

Speaking about the recent investment and new feature available to ASG students, ASG Managing Director (Diarmuid O' Riordan), commented:

"Innovation and responsiveness is at the heart of what we do. I know that this sounds somewhat clichéd but we are always seeking out new ways to improve the student learning experience with us. We genuinely consider our students to be the best possible "advertisement/marketing" of what we actually do. As long as we continue to be responsive, innovative, and provide them with the best possible ATPL training experience with the best instructors, we hope this will continue.

Many aviation training companies and ATO's are now, understandably, reducing expenditure due to the reduction in training demand. Our view is that while this down cycle will most likely be prolonged, a recovery in the medium term is inevitable. In the meantime, the way that we will learn in the future has changed irreversibly which will significantly alter the future model of the aviation training market. We feel that by making these investments now it ensures that we are well positioned to continue to provide the best EASA ATPL theory training course, provide our students with the greatest possible flexibility, and one where students can even login to attend our courses from anywhere in the world!"

We’re so proud that, in these challenging times for the aviation industry, ten future airline pilots started their ATPL theory journey with ASG today in our “virtual” classroom - we try to create an enjoyable, interactive, and immersive experience throughout our classes!

ATPL students joined us from the comfort of their own homes in Germany, the UK, Ireland, and even from as far away as the United States. ASG was one of the first ATO's approved in Europe to offer student pilots the ability to complete their entire EASA ATPL theory course online without any "in-class" element required.
