About the course

Our full-time residential ATPL course is based on a 24-week period of classroom based teaching totalling over 693 hours with our subject matter experts. The course is conducted over two separate modules​.

​Throughout your classroom training, our instructors will be guiding you through each of the ATPL subjects in a traditional presentation-style format. You will be following their instruction using iBooks/iPad technology created by our partner, PadPilot.
ASG has transitioned to the new EASA ATPL syllabus. We have provided some explanatory notes here which describes the key changes with this new syllabus.

What's included?

The cost of our residential learning course is €6750. Included in this price is:
  • 693 hours of expert classroom instruction where our instructors will guide you through the ATPL subjects
  • Access to our Subject Matter Experts (SME) throughout your training course to help guide you through
  • Access to ASG administrative support throughout your training
  • 12 months’ access to the ‘Padpilot' Online Computer Learning Management System providing a learning structure and objectives for each subject.
  • 12 months’ access to the ‘ATPL Online' Question Bank
  • School examinations in preparation for the sitting of each ATPL subject

Not included in the course price but required for course commencement are: a Jeppesen Student Route Airway Manual, electronic non-programmable calculator, a CRP-5, rulers, protractor, dividers, pair of compasses, pencils, writing and coloured pens, an iPad, and the PadPilot ATPL iBooks.

What do I need before I start?

In order to commence the course, we need to verify that:
  • You are over 17 years’ of age
  • You hold a valid Private Pilots Licence (PPL) issued in accordance with ICAO Annex 1
  • You are able to read, write and orally communicate in the English language to a minimum of ICAO Level 4 
  • You have sufficient knowledge of Mathematics and Physics to facilitate an understanding of the theoretical knowledge instruction content of the course. This is ensured through an initial online maths and physics course through the PadPilot learning management system (LMS).

Please note that we also recommend that you complete an EASA Class One Aviation Medical prior to undertaking training of this nature in order to avoid disappointment at a later stage.
